The journal Revista Educação e Políticas em Debate (REPOD) was founded in 2011, with its first issue published in 2012. REPOD is an electronic Journal linked to the research line State, Policy and Management in Education of the Postgraduate Program in education of the Federal University of Uberlândia. Its editorial policy recognizes the legitimacy of dissent, polemics and the diversity of theoretical conceptions and matrices as something proper and inherent to democratic spaces. Thus, the philosophy, policies and practices of the journal are anchored in the principles of plurality, freedom and intellectual autonomy, prioritizing the effects and contributions of each singular production for the collective production of syntheses and new antitheses. Its engagement with Latin American and European countries—through publications as well as indexation in international databases—has broadened the journal’s reach and horizons, enabling dialogical exchanges based on rigorous and consistent analyses and studies, while also ensuring the visibility of our scholarly output. |

The journal Revista Educação e Políticas em Debate, aims to disseminate research results and experiences about the area of public education policies and related topics that present consistency, rigor and originality in the scientific approach to the topics. The contents conveyed are mainly intended for Brazilian and foreign scholars and researchers around educational policies, but also for others interested in the area of education and Humanities in general. |

REPOD does not charge fees for processing articles (APCs - Article Processing), or for making them available to the authors and other readers. |
The journal Revista Educação e Políticas em Debate publishes thematic dossiers aimed at Public Education Policies, organized by researchers who are dedicated to the investigation in the dossier, with national contributions, from different regions of the country, and international. Thus, the articles must have a strict relationship to the thematic. In each issue, the Journal will also feature articles on open topics, published in the Continuous Demand section. In both sections, the editorial team diligently monitors all stages of the publishing process, aiming to ensure the preservation of ethical rigor in the dissemination of knowledge. The Journal publishes manuscripts in the sections of articles, theoretical essays, reviews, interviews, dissertation and thesis abstracts, translations, experience reports, and documents from entities. Also, it accepts text submissions in Portuguese, Spanish, French, or English. Texts submitted to the journal's sections are evaluated for plagiarism and self-plagiarism detection policy; merit in an anonymous evaluation process, with blind peer review; and the condition for article publication, which involves the submission of the final version of the article with the demands requested in the editorial report, a full version of the text translated into English, a declaration of authorship and responsibility, and a declaration of proofreading of the Portuguese language of the manuscript and of the abstracts in foreign languages. The Journal is integrated into the UFU Periodicals Portal, with support and funding from the aforementioned institution and foundations such as FAPEMIG and CNPq, through calls for proposals aimed at strengthening academic journals. The journal is ranked as stratum A3 of Qualis/Capes. |

Currently, the Journal has funding obtained from the Research Support Foundation of the State of Minas Gerais (Fapemig), through the call FAPEMIG 08/2023, Process: APQ-05174-23. Regularly, the REPOD incurs costs that are included in the routine expenses of UFU, facilitated by the Faculty of Education (Faced) and the University Press of the Federal University of Uberlândia (Edufu). It is also noteworthy that the Journal does not charge authors for the processing and publication of manuscripts, and it provides free and immediate access to its content for readers. |
