Abstract

This article presents a brief characterization of senior-high school in the State of Pará. The descriptive analysis of the situation at that level of education was based on statistical data. The most meaningful results show (1) the reduced access opportunities to that level of schooling,(2) the selective dimension in the system and (3) the lack of diversification of professional courses.
