Abstract

ZIBAS, Dagmar M. L.. The other side of the coin: the limits of participatory industrial administration (a case study). Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1996, n.99, pp.21-29. ISSN 0100-1574.

The study which gave rise to the article focused on the secondary sector, companies which are overcoming well the crisis generated by heightened industrial competition. The more general objective was to verify the demands, in terms of qualifications, such organizations are making on their workers and how they explain the need for such demands. The workers were listened to, as a counterpoint to the director's depositions. The work presented here focusses on the most dynamic of the companies researched recognizing the example of success of the new productive model. The results obtained permit the questioning of the presentely dominant discourse, that identifies in the same dimensions, the demands of modern production with the principles of humanist education, traditions defended by the progressive sectors of society.
