Abstract

This paper is the result of studies and discussions carried out within the scope of the Grupo Estado, Políticas e Gestão da Educação of Unicentro/PR, and aims to understand the ideas of Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937) and his contributions to research in educational policies. The text presents considerations on Parceiro da Escola Project, provided by the Notice number 02/2022 (SEED/PR), regarding accreditation to provide management assistance services for school unities of the State of Paraná education system, with delivery forecast of 27 schools to be managed by the private sector. From Gramsci’s theoretical bases, author’s contributions are searched to reflect about privatization process of education in Paraná because it is understood that this thinker may offer clarifying elements on State and its relations with educational policies, also on the matter of private groups hegemony, which undermines public education. This is a bibliographic study that encompasses, further the Notice number previously mentioned, News and works studied with in the scope of the research group. It is observed that education is characterized as a fertile field for the dispute of hegemony, and wide interest of private organizations for the outlining of the courses of education in Paraná is made evident as well.
