This article, of a qualitative nature, studies the possible contributions of comics in the English Language acquisition. Aiming to show how teaching with English language comics can contribute to the improvement of language learning. For this, we contemplate the concept of storytelling (XAVIER, 2015) and theories of significant learning with Ausubel (1968), Rogers (1971), observing the theoretical field related to the comics by Eisner (2010), McCloud (1995), Vergueiro (2012) and other authors.
