With the rapid development of technique and technology, the educational field has been shown to be strategic to transform human rationality into technological rationality, altering the achievement of the ends of Education itself. The aim of this paper is to analyze the contradictions between the process of reproduction of material life in capitalist societies and the loss of freedom of the individual inserted and adjusted to their criteria and, similarly, the adjustment of students to the socially useful demands of the system as a result. of a possible extinction of the Humanities Courses of curricula, which tends to move education away from its fundamental prerogative of Educating for emancipation. The Critical Theory of Frankfurt philosopher Herbert Marcuse points out that the restoration of human reason is a task for radical pedagogy as a form of resistance in times of commercialization of Education. His arguments contribute to a critical and contextualized analysis of Brazilian Education in times of counter-reforms.
