Abstract

CARVALHO, Silvio Roberto Silva. Readings and travels through affective and musical memories: subjective experiences. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2022, vol.27, e022007.  Epub Mar 04, 2024. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v27.e022007.

This article deals with reader experiences motivated by songs, autobiographical memories and comments published on digital platforms. Assuming that reading is more than a simple decoding activity, it is argued that by allowing yourself to read by songs and art, the subject involuntarily allows himself to produce meanings for the marks inscribed and re-inscribed in his own history, reinventing himself and generating new processes of subjectification. The objectives of this work are: (1) to build an understanding of the place of the song in the Brazilian artistic scenario, as well as its capacity to reach the readers. (2) Narrating a reading experience, in which the song acts as an unveiling of personal affective demands, that inspired the video series Stories of Mary. (3) Analyze readings on the Stories of Mary, immersed in comments on the respective series, published on digital platforms. Authors such as Wisnik (2004; 1989), Rossi (2003) and Neder (2008) Lima (2013), Agamben (2009), Martins (1986) and Jouve (2002) contribute to the understanding of the song’s place in the Brazilian artistic scenario, its quality as a biographical object and device, as well as its power to lead the body to produce meanings for inscribed and re-inscribed marks, through different levels of reading, as well as the analysis of the possible readings immersed in the comments collected for this work. Ultimately, concluded that every way of reading is worthwhile.

Keywords : Songs; Narratives; Readings; Stories of Mary.
