Abstract

This article discusses public management practices concerning undergraduate students’ quality and profile. The research is based on a bibliographic and normative review of evaluation and regulation policies. At the national level, it shows the centrality of Enade’s quality indicators in the assessment and regulation of courses and HEIs (IES in Portuguese). At the institutional level, some pieces of evidence indicate that these results are little used in pedagogical management that includes these new student profiles.
