Abstract

CALDEIRA, Anna Maria Salgueiro. Everday teachers' practice and process of appropriation and construction of her own knowledge: an ethnographical study. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1995, n.95, pp.05-12. ISSN 0100-1574.

This study describes and analyses, from an ethnographical point of view, the daily practice of a female teacher in a public elementary school class in the city of Barcelona, Sapin, using as theorical framework Agnes Heller's studies on every day life. For that purpose I bring information from three historical contexts: the renewed pedagogical moviment, the history of that public elementary school, and also the school teacher's history. The analytical description is organized into three dimensions: a) structuring of teaching situation; b) teacher-student interaction and c) articulation of contents. In analyzing each one of these dimensions, I tried to demonstrate how that teacher breaks with some determinant aspects of her own practice, and I also identified the knowledge produced and appropriated by her, rebuilding the process of constitution of that knowledge, emphasyzing elements of continuity and rupture
