Abstract

MIRANDA, Marília Gouvea de. The new paradigm of knowledge and educational policies in Latin America. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1997, n.100, pp.37-48. ISSN 0100-1574.

A current theme in the discourse that orients the policies and educational propjets in Latin America has been the centrality of knowledge. The technological revolution and the process of globalization have been emposing a new paradigm of knowledge. Knowledge is been defined as the link of action (know how to do it), use (know how to use it) and interaction (know how to communicate it). Educational reforms are expected, therefore, to be adequated to the new needs presented by this paradigm. The core of the paradigm of knowledge, frequently mentioned in the texts which define or analyse educational implications of the adoption of these educational policies in course in Latin American Countries are indicated.

Keywords : Paradigma do Conhecimento; Política Educacional; América Latina.
