Abstract

HENRIQUES, Vera. Education and social sciences in Brazil: possible relationships. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1998, n.103, pp.81-99. ISSN 0100-1574.

Recognizing that beginning with the term of Anísio Teixeira as head of the INEP, conditions for a sociological work about education in Brazil were created, this work seek to delineate the possible implicit relations in this dialogue. Initially the CBPE, grouping educators and social scientists with common interests, arose as a privileged institutional space to work to bring the two areas closer. At a second moment the mapping out of the established relationships between the Center and the university institutions linked to it through its members appears as a practical point for organizing. But, if the relationship were possible it remains to be seen which social sciences and educational problems were being thought out there. It seeks then to define the bases for development of those sciences in Brazil, trying to understand on which parameters they could be based to be useful to educational analysis and support during that period.

Keywords : CBPE; Sociologia da Educação; Pesquisa Educacional; INEP.
