Abstract

FARIA FILHO, Luciano Mendes de. School culture and practice: teaching writing, schooling the body and production of the student as a school subject. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1998, n.103, pp.136-149. ISSN 0100-1574.

In this work we discuss some of the process of the production/legitimization of school cultures that occur within the practices of schooling the body and the teaching apprenticeship. We try to show that in the first decades of this century in Brazil, these schooling practices produced a student who was a cognizant school subject as a presupposition of pedagogical relations, and this process is intimately related to the constitution of school corporeality.
