Abstract

PARRA, Carmen Romo; FUENTES, Silvia Escobar  and  GARCIA, Luis Miguel Rondón. INTERVENTION IN GENDER VIOLENCE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: DIAGNOSIS IN ACTION. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 2021, vol.51, e07801.  Epub Oct 13, 2021. ISSN 1980-5314.  https://doi.org/10.1590/198053147801.

The article examines the situation of professional groups that intervene against gender violence in Spain, from the perspective of students sampled from the University of Malaga. A qualitative methodology is implemented using a SWOT matrix. The results expose threats, above all, as a result of insufficient investment and lack of social response. The experience, professional competence, legislative advances and diversity of resources existing in Spain are also highlighted. This study is a valid diagnosis to guide more effective study plans and public policies against gender violence.

Keywords : VIOLENCE; GENDER RELATIONS; PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE; UNIVERSITY STUDENT.
