This article refers to a bibliographical review on Early Childhood Education management in Brazil. On this thematic, we highlight the specificities of this stage of Education in the context of the contemporary debate on education policies. To conduct this study, a broader bibliographical survey on education and school management was done at first, to next address in particular the management of early childhood education. Results show that there are several approaches to the topic of education and school management in Brazil - understood either as a mechanism of democratic and participatory intervention or as a tool with its origin in corporate business management. In the case of Early Childhood Education, the academic production is still incipient and guided by studies that have focused on elementary school.
