Abstract

MOMO, Mariangela  and  MARTINEZ, Albertina Mitjáns. CREATIVE PEDAGOGICAL WORK IN CHILDREN EDUCATION IN RELATION TO THE MEDIA AND CONSUMER CULTURE. Educ. Rev. [online]. 2017, vol.33, e160893.  Epub June 06, 2017. ISSN 1982-6621.  https://doi.org/10.1590/0102-4698160893.

The works aims to investigate and analyze the creative teaching-learning processes in a media and consumer culture and its influence on children, even in the public schools. The study have used instruments such as interviews, observations and pictures, conducted in four public schools at Brazilian central region in 2015, to produce information about the creative pedagogical work. The theoretical basis, deriving from studies of creativity by Mitjáns Martínez, among others, articulated with information obtained from the schools, have provided a means to understand the issue under investigation. The production of something new and valuable in the pedagogical work has involved (a) considering this culture in different school practices; (b) using methodological strategies related to it; and (c) selecting and developing projects related to this culture. We have concluded that the creative pedagogical work is one of the possible and necessary in face of this new culture.
