This article is a reflection instigated by a work that recreates the massacre of a group of leftist militants (generation 68) who opted for the armed struggle against the Brazilian dictatorship. This is not a testimonial record. Here memory establishes its rights in the form of fictional language. The work is a kind of self-writing, a memory of affections, a fictional account supported by reality, permeated by the imagination of a generation, by its values, worldviews, ethical, aesthetic choices, , sensitive experiences. Literary analysis, reflection on memory and an examination of the dictatorial autocracy that conditions action are privileged. In conclusion, the article exposes the invisible yarns that reconnect memory and history, factual and imaginary, individual and collective, common sense and criticism, intuition and reason, lived life and project. And it leaves a reflection about the legacy of generation 68 and the validity of memory redemption overcome the past and point to the future.
