This research involves the performance of the school psychologist considering his challenge in helping students and schools using his theoretical and methodological resources. The results demonstrated that international literature showed a wide action to the school psychologist; a work integrating the community school and family where is included the diagnosis, intervention, evaluation, and research. In order to achieve this goal it is recommended a consistent theoretical knowledge. In another way the school staff indicated a poor action to the school psychologist. Teachers and pedagogical consultants assign problems resolution to this professional without considering their origins. All data analysed showed that there is a clear contradiction between theory and practice.
