The present article considers global education in light of the dramatic economic, political and social changes undergone by the world around the turn of the XXI century. Special attention is given to the most recent developments in the area at francophone as well as Anglophone universities in Canada. Education's mission to form citizens in a world increasingly interdependent and without borders is discussed.
