The author points out the relevance of evaluation itself as an instrument of balance between alienation and competition of students in the process of teaching-learning. However be, also indicates the need to examine traditional evaluation techniques in order to decide what changes shall be made to become them more update and adequate to students and teachers needs. Finally, he suggests that public schools autonomy should be increased in order to make the evaluation process more democratic.
