Starting from the figure of Antigone and evoking the right to resistance, the text presents the results of a documentary and bibliographic research, conducted by an analytical-reconstructive methodology which examines the efforts of political and intellectual resistance to Decree 10.502, of September 30, 2020, by Brazilian civil society. Taking the public repercussions of this decree as a parameter, the text exposes and analyzes the positions of scientific, academic and professional associations linked to the defense of Special Education from an inclusive perspective, indicating that the analyzed manifestations are close to civil resistance, marking the counter-argument to a institutional and governmental initiative that, supposedly, would be inappropriate to the context to which it applies. Such manifestations also bring the signatory associations closer to political and intellectual resistance, at the moment when they evidence technical arguments as a basis for sustaining the repertoire used.
