This study aimed to analyze by means of systematic literature review research evidence that presents evaluation tools of motor behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder. This was a systematic review, using the following inclusion criteria: original articles that included field research, without chronological determination. The search was carried out in the Lilacs, Scielo, PubMed, Google Scholar and CAPES Journals databases, using the keywords: autistic disorder, motor activity, physical education and testing. Three thousand one hundred and sixty four texts were found in the initial search, of which six fulfilled the stipulated criteria. The publications on the subject are still limited, as the study highlighted the necessity for specific instruments to evaluate motor behavior in this group. As to the credibility of the instruments, the study showed that the authors are concerned about using instruments that are appropriate to the population, despite the limitation regarding the construction and validation of instruments restricted exclusively to motor behavior evaluation of these individuals. The reason is that developmental functions of children with ASD are often affected, and the etiology of the ASD is still little known. Finally, there is a need for studies that address specifically instruments with such features, in order to provide a means of intervening in order to improve motor behavior of this population group.
