This work aims to present some considerations around the results of teacher performance based on the objectives and criteria of the teaching evaluation, developed at the Universidade Regional de Blumenau-SC, in a gradually and continuous manner, since 1995. It presents, then, considerations related to the teachers performance evaluation made by their students, analyzing the relation between the scores received by the teachers in these evaluations against scores of both failed students and students with semestral grade lower than 7.5, being subjected, the last ones, according to current regimental rules, to final exam. We pretend to show that the low scores received by the teachers in their evaluations, with some exceptions, are linked to personal problems of the teacher in his relationship with the students and to the inadequate use of certain teaching procedures.
