Abstract

POLIDORI, Marlis Morosini; FONSECA, Denise Grosso da  and  LARROSA, Sara Fernanda Tarter. Institutional evaluation and the new technologies: an approximation. Avaliação (Campinas) [online]. 2005, vol.10, n.02, pp.97-116. ISSN 1414-4077.

Institutional evaluation is a process that is being developed in the country, but it continues to face many conflicts. The participation of the academic community is one of the challenges that this process faces. The Centro Universitário Metodista - IPA has a history of institutional evaluation that goes back to 1994 and, in the process, its forms of action have changed and constructed instruments which made it easier for the academic community to participate. However, despite this apparent facilitation of access, in the last two years, when a questionnaire was applied on-line to faculty, students and staff, the participation was smaller than when it was made in paper form. This mode of participation was analyzed by the Institutional Evaluation and New Technologies Research Project, aimed at understanding this phenomenon.

Keywords : Institutional Evaluation; Participatory Evaluation; Globalization; New Technologies.
