TURPO-GEBERA, Osbaldo. The scientific competence in Peru and Portugal for PISA 2012. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2016, vol.21, n.3, pp.383-394. ISSN 2318-0870.  https://doi.org/10.5965/151939932112016383.

This study addresses the differences in results of scientific competence of Peru and Portugal according to the results of PISA 2012, which would result from the divergence of content that make up the respective curriculum of study. For such, a process of review and documentary analysis of curricular content of scientific competition was carried out. The findings were organized into curricular categories comparable with each other and testable as specified by PISA. The results show, in terms of capabilities, that Portugal widely prioritizes scientific explanation; while Peru prioritizes identifying scientific issues. Regarding knowledge, Portugal affects physical, earth and space systems in order to enhance technology in Peru; however, their attitude may vary slightly. The differences in curricular organization is significantly large regarding curriculum time; Portugal destines longer periods of time than Peru; that would explain its interest in this competition.
