This article deals with the development of competences for the technological and musical education context with the use of digital technologies. These are digital resources as learning objects and tools to music composition and audio editing, especially those which operate on free web-based. This proposal addresses teachers, tutors and future teachers from presence and distance learning, musicians and no musicians who want to act in the context deprecated. Its main objective was to develop a competence’s mapping to the technological and musical education context from the musical composition. These technologies are used with virtual learning environments and have been applied in extension courses for teachers that wish teach music or use the music in their classes. The methodology used was the case study. A competence’s mapping is presented as a resulted of this research. Are also listed the elements that form the competence: knowledge, skills and attitudes for effective action of the subject for the context deprecated.
