This article presents an experience in feminist education with young women in Recife (Pernambuco, Brazil) made between the years 2013 and 2014 and based on feminist theory and on Paulo Freire's pedagogical perspective. The aim is to discuss self-reflection methodology as an important element of the educational debate on feminist pedagog It describes the development and the results of the experience in order to discuss the relation between Popular Education and Feminist Pedagogy. The procedures adopted were the focal group discussion guided by problematizations formulated from the experience shared by educator and educandas. In its conclusion, the study's main finding of this research process systematization the importance of associating the self-reflection methodology, policy formation elements and monitoring of collective action as key to the formation in social movement.
