The involvement of children and adolescents with AVGs, can contribute to the movement and motor skills development. This paper analyzes the implications of active video games (AVGs) in the development of motor skills of children in the school context, from a systematic mapping. As a result, it was evident that AVGs contribute to the development of motor skills of balance, fine motor skills, global and spatial motor skills, and to the increase of physical activity levels. The interfaces and AVGs used in most of the investigated studies are Xbox kinect, and they propose dance activities. Finally, digital games, by dialoguing with the reality of children and adolescents of the 21st century, provide opportunities for the development of motor skills.
