Abstract

VENTORIM, Silvana; ASTORI, Fernanda Bindaco da Silva  and  BITENCOURT, Juverci Fonseca. The dismantling of teacher training policies confronted by academic- scientific entities. J. Pol. Educ-s [online]. 2020, vol.14, e71854.  Epub Apr 20, 2022. ISSN 1981-1969.  https://doi.org/10.5380/jpe.v14i0.71854.

Analyzes documents published on the websites of Brazilian academic-scientific entities on teacher training policies, between 2015 and 2019. In the document analysis of 19 texts, identified in the form of notes, letters, bulletins, manifests, final event documents, documents base of public hearings and motions that address teacher training, it assumes textual production as a manufacturing space, which in its uses and appropriations, constitutes the debate on teacher training policies. The results show that the constituent elements of the debate on teacher education policies aim at the recent educational political scenario that has the effect of emptying the basic education project for basic education teachers, disqualifying the profession and continuing education processes for teachers, teachers and linking teacher training to external and large-scale assessments. The entities manifest themselves through the democratic processes of producing educational policies and encourage the academic and educational community to maintain governance over their field of action.
