Abstract

The article analyzes the mathematics present in a teaching plan as the evaluation of the classes of the Curso Normal of the School of Caetano de Campos, in the city of São Paulo, during a decade of 1940. In the last year of teacher training and presented Cálculo and Geometria as the subjects of a course that teach the main course of São Paulo. Such assessments are referred to as a “plano globalizado,” which involve different subjects from one theme. The school in question is considered a model of the Capital of São Paulo, where the Instituto de Educação de São Paulo was installed in the 1930s. The period was marked by the New School movement, having as one of its presuppositions the method of Dewey.
