The article presents an excerpt from a doctoral research project, describing its methodological experience in proposing a technique inspired by ethnography and participatory research. Remote communication tools were used to generate the data, given the context of the pandemic. As a contribution to the field of childhood studies, it is worth highlighting the power relations between adults and children in the multiplicity of researching their realities, respecting, and valuing their voices and their effective participation in the data generation and analysis process.
