Abstract

CARTAXO, Simone Regina Manosso. Teacher education and teaching in higher education: contributions of Maria Isabel Cunha. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2024, vol.24, n.80, pp.59-73.  Epub Apr 29, 2024. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.24.080.ds04.

This article aims to relate elements of the biography and production of the researcher Maria Isabel Cunha, from the Federal University of Pelotas - UFPel, to her considerations on teacher training, in order to raise contributions from her intellectual and professional career to teacher education. It starts with an interview with the researcher and bibliographical research (SALVADOR, 1978; BARDIN, 1977; LIMA; MIOTO, 2007) on her intellectual production. From the interview and analysis, main themes emerge for the field of teacher education, namely, humanization; teaching; practical knowledge; and professionalization. The final synthesis integrates the aspect of intellectuality in the researcher's trajectory.

Keywords : Teacher training; Women researchers; Teaching at the university..
