CARDOSO, Otávio Augusto de Oliveira  and  MERCADO, Luis Paulo Leopoldo. Development of active teaching methodologies and strategies in ict in teacher training for higher education. Rev. Diálogo Educ. This article presents the results of a qualitative research that investigated the adoption of methodologies and active strategies using information and communication technologies (ICT) in higher education, based on two categories of analysis: contributions to teaching practice and possibilities envisaged with the use of ICT. The approach used involved a study of multiple cases, in the discipline Methodologies of Higher Education with ICT (MESTIC), developed in the Master's and Doctorate in Education at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). From the results achieved, the research indicates that the discipline expanded experiences with teaching practices, linked to the use of ICT for student training. Another result was the expansion of virtual possibilities for teaching as a way of re-signifying educational methodologies and strategies and the acquisition of technological resources for the development of teaching work.
