The paper examines the historical trajectory of mathematics teaching in the period 1930-1970, the so called high school. The study shows the existence of numerous works on the Mathematics taught in the early years of grade level. On the other hand, it reveals the lack of research on the final series. Thus, the article focuses on the transformation of Mathematics that is present today in high school. Using as theoretical reference for the study analyzes the history of the disciplines, the text brings together arguments to conclude that, indeed, it is clear there are two school subjects of mathematics in the same high school.
