Abstract

FILHO, Geraldo Pedro da Costa. The concept of socialization in high school: the training of social science teachers of the PARFOR. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.57, pp.551-578.  Epub Feb 07, 2020. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.18.057.ao06.

With the compulsory return of the sociology discipline to the school curriculum in 2008, and as a consequence of the research I have done in recent years on the process of socialization and the relationship between brain and behavior in adolescents / young people, using Berger and Luckmann (1983) and Herculano-Houzel (2005), I tried to develop a theoretical and empirical methodological program to firstly know the situation of sociology teaching in the country, with Silva (2007) and Mascarenhas (2012), and then analyze the formation of the Ministry of Education program called the Freire Platform (PARFOR), carried out by the Federal University of Piauí, specifically in the socialization theme. With this aim, I applied questionnaires whose results are presented in tables, which point to deficiencies of a broader understanding of the concept of socialization, especially in relation to brain transformations.
