Abstract

ZARBATO, Jaqueline Aparecida Martins. Museums, history and education: narratives of “future teachers” of History. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.57, pp.579-595.  Epub Feb 07, 2020. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.18.057.ao07.

This article aims to approach the narratives and historical experiences of students, “future” teachers, about the insertion / visit in museums. The museum is here understood as an important element in didactics in history, as a place of collective memory that assists in the socio-historical formation of subjects. We analyze the narrative of academics of the History course, relating their multiple voices, their impressions, their understanding of the museum as a historical space, with the production of a sense of the musealized heritage. In addition, we propose the autobiographical analysis, as a methodological referral, aiming at perceiving the dimensions of the historical culture, in which the students build their historical experiences.

Keywords : Museums; Initial Teacher Training; History Teaching; Narratives.
