Abstract
TEIXEIRA JUNIOR, José Carlos. THE “BATALHA DA DI DEUS” AS EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE: AN INTERACTION BETWEEN NON-EQUAL VOICES. Revista Teias [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.55, pp.244-258. Epub Feb 17, 2020. ISSN 1982-0305. https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2018.33794.
The present work has as main objective to discuss some questions that understand the Batalha da Di Deus, a battle of rhyme held in Cidade de Deus, as an educational practice. This understanding is justified by the fact that education is not limited to the walls of school education and that musical practice presents itself as a fertile epistemic positioning in the emergence of the narrow and complex relations between knowledge, politics and aesthetics that weave different times-educational spaces. Thus, from a Bakhtinian perspective of polyphony, we will try to show that the Batalha da Di Deus consists of a movement of interaction between non-equal voices, a movement carried out at the crossroads of important processes that weave the city of Rio de Janeiro.
