Abstract
BERTO, Rosianny Campos and SIMOES, Regina Helena Silva. The Curso Superior de Cultura Pedagógica (1928-1930) as a strategy to train teachers and the diffusion of active schooling in the schools of Espírito Santo. Cad. Hist. Educ. [online]. 2016, vol.15, n.1, pp.398-421. ISSN 1982-7806. https://doi.org/10.14393/che-v15n1-2016-15.
Analyses the Curso Superior de Cultura Pedagógica (CSCP - Higher Education in Pedagogical Culture) and the Escola Ativa de Ensaio (EAE - Active School of Learning) as a strategy used to train in-service teachers during the educational reform led by Attílio Vivacqua in the State of Espírito Santo (1928-1930). The sources used include messages from the government, reports of the Department for Education, the compendium Pedagogia científica (Scientific Pedagogy) by Pedro Deodato de Moraes (director of CSCP), the book Cooperação e extensão cultural (Cultural Cooperation and Extension), which is the final project presented by Garcia de Rezende (Vivacqua's advisor and student of CSCP), and articles published in the local press. With the cross referencing of these sources, this study problematises the CSCP and the EAE as strategic elements for teacher training and pedagogical renewal on the political and educational stage in Espírito Santo at the end of the 1920s.
