Abstract

CARDOSO, Shirley Sheila; OLIVEIRA, Luthiane Miszak Valença de  and  OLIVEIRA, Victor Hugo Nedel. Youth and neoliberalism: interfaces to think about high school curriculum. Rev. Reflex [online]. 2021, vol.29, n.3, pp.57-73.  Epub Aug 28, 2023. ISSN 1982-9949.  https://doi.org/10.17058/rea.v29i3.16367.

The text problematizes high school, analyzing the neoliberalism interpositions in the curriculum and youth contexts. The research was organized in a bibliographical method with an analysis of the curricular problems of the New High School. The results point to debates on the responsibility of the subject formation, the creation of a new entrepreneurial subject and the financing relationships of life. Regarding curriculum and youth, four downsizes stood out: relevant knowledge, protagonism, comprehensive education and democratic practices. The discussions sign the characterization of neoliberalism as a guiding rationality that focuses on the subjects’ constitution.

Keywords : Neoliberalism; Youth; Curriculum; High School.
