Abstract

APALAI, Arawaje Waiana; BRITO, Angela do Céu Ubaiara  and  CUSTODIO, Elivaldo Serrão. The game of indegenous children in Pará: a look at the narratives and experiences of the Aparai people. Rev. Reflex [online]. 2022, vol.30, n.1, pp.115-131.  Epub Aug 16, 2023. ISSN 1982-9949.  https://doi.org/10.17058/rea.v30i1.15741.

The research investigates the Aparai children's ways of playing in the Bona-PA tribe. It aims to understand how children play in the tribe, and what kind of games are produced during the childhood of these indigenous children. Using qualitative research through oral history, bibliographical analysis, and interviews about the practices of playing that involve the Aparai indigenous child. In addition, a bibliographic analysis was used to point out important arguments on the matter. The results indicate that these children’s game is closely linked to the elements of nature, facing the daily work of adults who enchant and encourage the imagination in the construction of local culture.
