Abstract

SCHWEIG, Graziele Ramos; SENA, Caio Morais  and  RIGHI, Isabela Froes. EXPERIMENTATIONS WITH DRAWING IN TEACHER EDUCATION: REFLECTIONS FROM SOCIOLOGY TEACHING. Eccos Rev. Cient. [online]. 2020, n.53, e16679.  Epub Jan 31, 2024. ISSN 1983-9278.  https://doi.org/10.5585/eccos.n53.16679.

After decades developing research and teaching practices mostly restricted to university context, the Social Sciences began to participate in the routine of basic education through the discipline of Sociology in High School, which was reintroduced in school curricula in Brazil, in 2008. This recent character of Social Sciences in school pushes for the creation of different modes of dialogue with school subjects, problematizing dichotomies and instigating to expand the potential of Social Science activities beyond the academic scope. In the present article, we follow the process of elaborating and circulating a pedagogical device which, through drawing, allowed to broaden the meanings of “science” and “common sense” - recurrent categories in Sociology teachers education and their teaching practices. By giving visibility to the sensitive dimension of the process of knowing, the created device proved to be potent in educating the attention to the plane of forces, beyond given and reified forms, contributing to problematize representational or recognitive ways of knowing.
