Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Katiane Vargens de; MACHADO, Neli Teresinha Galarce  and  KREUTZ, Marcos Rogério. LEARNING IN NON-FORMAL SPACES AND FEMALE EMPOWERMENT. Eccos Rev. Cient. [online]. 2021, n.56, e10779.  Epub Feb 05, 2024. ISSN 1983-9278.  https://doi.org/10.5585/eccos.n56.10779.

This study is inserted in a current and important perspective of analysis of the feminine reality in Brazil. By understanding the experiences of these women as protagonists of their lives, the research addresses a relevant theme in the context of the academy and also for the instrumentalization and evaluation of public policies in the area. This article discusses the participation of women in associations as an element for social empowerment and is supported by empirical research in an association in the Amazônia mato-grossense area. The production of the data came from focused groups. The "Cantinho da Amazônia" Women's Association is located in the Amazônia mato-grossense, in the region of the deforestation arch, more precisely in the "Vale do Amanhecer" settlement, 14km from Juruena, in the state of Mato Grosso. The proposed theoretical approach allows an articulation between the proposals of a non-formal education, the experiences and practices that change the collective of the community and the effects on the life of the women, from the perspective of empowerment. In the light of the analyzes, it was found that the actions of the association alone do not lead to empowerment, however, they allow moments that can be bridges for the subjects to develop skills in order to strengthen and raise collective awareness.
