The article presents a discussion of the results obtained in a research on the emotional universe of adolescents and aims to investigate the events triggering the emotion of anger and its impact on school relations. The study is qualitative and counted on the participation of 526 students from the public school. The collected materials were obtained through the application of an open questionnaire and analyzed considering the assumptions of the grounded theory (Charmaz, 2009), dialoguing with the theoretical contributions of Navas and Bozal (2012), Bisquerra (2014), Mira y Lopez (2012) and Arándiga and Tortosa (2003). The results indicate that the absence of emotional regulation of teenage anger modifies the protective nature of that emotion, fueled aggressive behaviors. In addition, we have identified the creation of mental scripts that favor the construction of a school habitus that produces and reproduces aggressive responses in the school environment.
