Abstract

This article aims to undertake a historical and theoretical critique, stemming from a contemplation situated amidst the genesis of the modern subject and the entrepreneurial subject of himself. Through this succinct ontology of our existence, we shall traverse the trajectory that has led us to the current epoch of neoliberalism. In pursuit of this objective, we shall expound upon the intricate interplay between knowledge and power, as well as the mechanisms through which the modern subject undergoes transformation and engenders production within a disciplinary society, encapsulated by an industrial capitalism adhering to the Fordist model. Furthermore, we shall analyze its postmodern disposition within a society of control, amidst a post-fordism regime, up until its contemporary manifestation within the entrepreneurial paradigm. Thus, the ultimate objective is to diagnose our era, constructing a critical examination of the reasoning underpinning neoliberalism vis-à-vis what we perceive as a period wherein the deleterious and corrosive processes affecting the individual and the realms of subjectivity are more prominently at stake than mere productivity.
