Abstract

FACANHA, Luciano da Silva  and  SOUSA, Leonardo Silva. Anguish and despair as a possibility of contructing human experience from the Sören Kierkegaard’s philosophy. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2018, vol.23, n.2, pp.307-324.  Epub Aug 20, 2019. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v23.n2.5.

The objective of this article is to analyze the experience of anguish and despair, based on the existential philosophy of Sören Aabye Kierkegaard (1813-1855). Reflecting on the anguish and despair, we accentuate the positive character of such experiences. Through the anguish, the man can take that recognition is a being-able, and that several possibilities, can choose, exercising your freedom. In desperation, the man can see the degrees of inauthenticity of your existential condition. From that data, can take it as a starting point for the construction of a clear and authentic existence, performing the synthesis of finite and infinite, of the temporal and the eternal, of possibility and necessity. For this text, we shall take as a basis the works the concept of anxiety (1844) and the illness to the death (1849).

Keywords : Anguish; Despair; Freedom; Construction of the existence.
