Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Renato de. Modernity, active vita and illusion of development. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2018, vol.23, n.spe3, pp.348-365.  Epub Sep 02, 2019. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v23.dossie.16.

The developmental issue is still being approached in a traditional way in the semi-peripheral countries of the globalized economy, as a problem of attraction of investments that brings work into the economy. Funding policies for scientific and technological developed countries, such process coincided with large agendas of social and cultural transformations associated with the idea of modernity. However, the autonomy of the political field, central to the idea of modernity, has been upset by interests defined in the economic field, worsening the conditions of semi-peripheral countries. This article proposes a reflection on the developmental limits in the global economy, through a synthesis among the philosophical, sociological and economic approaches to the question.
