In the present article I introduce a reflection about the concept of action and its repercussion towards scholar education, based on Hannah Arendt. Considering the distinction, for Arendt, between fabrication, labor and action, I defend that one of the specific activities of the school is the educational action, in the sense that the students and teachers take action when they appear and relate among themselves mediated by the subjects and thus answering the challenges that represent the world. Furthermore, if the task of education is, regarding Arendt, to introduce new generations in the world, this introduction is done preferably by the action. However, in reference to the students, the action is not in the political sense, since that they are in formation process and, thus, are not responsible for the consequences of their acts, neither for the world. Therefore, the care, the protection, the responsibility and the authority of the adult are fundamental towards understanding the school and the education, as well as the specificity of action in the school.
