Abstract

FOCHI, Paulo Sergio. Child, curriculum and fields of experience: reflective notes. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2020, vol.25, e020042. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v25.e020042.

This article is the result of emerging reflections from a series of conferences that are situated in the field of curriculum and early childhood education. The article organization started with a debate on child and curriculum, recovering ideas by John Dewey (2002) in the famous text in which he talks about the relation between these two fields, not in the perspective of opposition but in the perspective of complementarity. Then, I put focus on how I read the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) and how this document can help us implement the principles, conditions and goals already announced in the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCNs) for Early Childhood Education (DCNEIs). Finally, I highlighted some elements that can be important to understand the idea about fields of experience.

Keywords : Early Childhood Education; Common National Curriculum Base; Curriculum; Fields of experience.
