Abstract

CASTRO, Rodrigo Pulgar. Silence, faith and secularity. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2021, vol.26, e021048.  Epub Feb 10, 2024. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v26.e021048.

We live in an era where the secular has its stamp. The course of history reveals this. Regardless of this situation, I maintain the viability of religious experience, in a context of explanations about the course of existence marked by the rule of reason. For its understanding as a possibility of meaning, I appeal to silence as an interpretative key to understand that in silence the believing dialogue is revealed as a condition of openness, therefore, a condition of acceptance of a reality that transcends the simple rational explanation and that, not on few occasions, it determines the course of both personal and collective existence.

Keywords : Philosophy of religion; Secularity; Faith; Silence.
