Abstract

STENTZLER, Marcia Marlene. Inspection and daily practices in the Balduíno Cardoso School (Porto União/sc, 1954-1957). Hist. Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.27, e126481.  Epub Dec 12, 2023. ISSN 2236-3459.  https://doi.org/10.1590/2236-3459/126481.

In this study we analysed the written records on inspection and pedagogical meetings to understand the development of educational practices that culturally defined Balduíno Cardoso School, located in Porto União/SC, a city that borders União da Vitória/PR. In addition to the legislation of Santa Catarina, we work with the Terms of visits of inspectors and Minutes of pedagogical meetings, produced between 1954 and 1957. These documents make up the institution's collection and provide evidence of the relationships between the subjects, the knowledge, the organization and functioning of the school. In the dialogue with the sources, we used the contributions of Revel (1998), Certeau (1994), Bourdieu (2013), Escolano (2017) and Faria Filho (2007). The analyses move between the legislation and the records of the practices that were aimed at implementing inside the school, between spaces of common use and classrooms, in the relations between different subjects, with a view to renewing public education in Santa Catarina.
