Abstract

This study aimed to identify and categorize articles of History of School Institutions published in the Revista Brasileira de História da Educação between 2001 and 2018, using Content Analysis (Bardin, 1977). The documentary corpus consists of articles that examine institutional histories through contents that form the spatial, temporal, intellectual, social, political, theory and methodology and completecategories. The results indicate that school investigations are in 24% of the texts. The historiography in History of School Institutions published in the Revista Brasileira de História da Educação reveals a critical and innovative writing, bringing to light the diversity of schools we have built and allowing us to reflect on human formation.
